Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays Everyone! I am enjoying every second of my 2 weeks off from veterinary school, although I have been reading my Veterinary Physiology Textbook and Anatomy of the Dog Textbook so that I am prepared for next semester. For Christmas I recieved 2 textbooks, Guide To The Dissection of the Dog and Veterinary Radiology. I never thought that I would be so happy to recieve textbooks as gifts but it totally made my day. Also, some family members gave me gift certificates to Barnes and Nobles so that I can buy even more textbooks!
So far I have had a great vacation. I went to the Bronx Zoo Holiday Light Show for Bobbi's Birthday and then I went to the Central Park Zoo while I was in NYC after seeing the tree at Rockefeller Center. I have also been catching up on my sleep and seeing all of my friends that I have missed for the past 5 months.

I survived my first semster of Vet School!

Sorry that it's been so long since my last entry but I have been really busy with school. I took my last final this past Friday which marked the end of my first semester of veterinary school. I flew back home to NY on the red-eye last night and am going to enjoy a whole 2 weeks off before school starts again.
I have spent a lot of the past 8 weeks in Anatomy Lab trying to figure out the best way to study all of the muscles, veins, arteries and innervations in all of the different species. I can't tell you how many nights I was in Anatomy Lab until midnight, but it definately paid off. I think that I did a lot better on my Anatomy Final during this block as opposed to the first 8 week block of vet school.
